Bleeding after C section
I never really did any research on this as I didnt think Id have a C section. But how long after did you bleed? Been 15 days now and Im still bleeding although light, liquidy and it is getting darker. When should I expect it to stop and af return?
Thanks

I really can't remember how long I bled for after my c-sect but it was longer than a 'normal' AF. Then AF returned about 4-5 weeks after disappearing. It really is different for everyone and unfortunately it might be a little bit of wait & see what happens.

I bled for about 6 weeks and it kept changing within that time (ie getting heavier, lighter, changing colour etc)
-
I didn't bleed for long at all, only about a week I think but during that time it was super heavy. I had a friend who had a C/S and didn't BF and her AF returned after about a month and a half I think.

I bled for 6 weeks post c/s and AF returned 4 weeks after that.
-
Mine lasted about 4 weeks, but it was pretty light in the last few weeks. It was different to AF.
I can't answer about af, sorry.

5-6 weeks for me. Mostly light after the first couple of weeks but would have a heavier day here and there. I can't remember when AF came back.

6 weeks with DD1 and 8 weeks with DD2 - both were emergency c/s

probably not much help, but i had c/s with DS and i remember bleeding for up to 12 weeks (also with DD as well for 12 weeks and she was a VBAC) but im weird Lol. have heard that you can bleed longer for a c/s though......really hope it stops for you soon though xxxx

I bled for 7 weeks.

with my first 2 c sections it took 6-12 weeks for it to stop (my body is loopy) this 3rd time round its been 6 weeks and bleeding has stopped for 3 days now (hoping loopy body has sorted itself out). my af returned with the 2 c sections within 4 weeks.

Sigh. PP bleeding stopped at 4 weeks and it's now 6 weeks later and still nothing :(
I'm hoping this post will kick my hormones into action.
AF I want you back! If found please return to it's rightful owner :P

 It can take a while for your hormones to settle down.......... but she better be on her way soon. Or we'll whop her arse. :p
