Has anyone else found that they are craving really strong smells...I can't get enough of eucalyptus oil, I would stick my head in a petrol bowser if I could :o and love the smell of fresh bitumen! Of course I do try to steer clear of the last two....
This is baby #3 and I didn't experience this at all with my two girls. Is this really weird or a common pregnancy thing!? :D
Ahaha no but that's funny. I usually have a weird craving for magazine and catalogue paper smell but I haven't noticed that get stronger during pregnancy.
Just don't start eating weird things like paper etc...
I have ridiculously strong cravings for chlorine, fabric softener and chewing on face-washers :redface: :lol: Obviously I don't indulge the fabric softener or chlorine (although every time I do the washing my mouth literally fills with drool!!), but I *do* chew on a face-washer! I'm nutso :shhh:
A friend of mine loved the smell of petrol when she was pregnant too.
PZ, get some of the colgate whitening mouthwash, it tastes like Chlorine. :rofl:

One of my friends used to sniff laundry powder when she was preggers (not lines - just the smell).

Normal id say...I LOVED the small of washing powder/detergent, any kind of strong perfume/deoderant...lol
Cranky Kitten, the smell of ANYTHING (including hot water, the dryer, my husband :lol:) made me hurl in the first trimester! I am nearing the end now (about 6 weeks to go) and it is the complete opposite.
Coffee! I'm usually fairly ambivalent when it comes to the smell - I like it, but it's not like I hunt it out... But when I was pregnant? I asked DH quite a few times to buy me an espresso - or a bag of coffee beans - just so I could sniff it :rofl: The meanie never did though!

When I was pregnant with DS2 I craved the smell of coffee and of sunscreen.
I don't drink coffee, nor do I like the smell of it, but I would have to go to my local McCafe every morning before work to grab a hot chocolate and sniff the coffee smell which would then get stuck in my clothes all day and leave me happy! lol
As for the sunscreen, I am just lucky we lived near a beach and DS was a summer baby so there was lots of sunscreen being used right before he was born :)
The other thing is...I can't stop eating ice! Bucket loads of it. I am very low in iron and I found out today that they are linked. How bizarre. I googled it to check and sure enough...chewing ice indicates low iron.
