positive test nothing in ultrasound?

Hi girls,
I had a suspicion that i was pregnant so i did one hpt test and it came up positive! i also did another test the next morning which was also positive!
I went to the doctor who believed that i was 8 weeks due to my last period (7th feb). However my periods are irregular, so i dont believe i am that far. I am sure that i had implantation spotting/bleeding about 10 days ago, and i have other symptoms, sore boobs, nipple changes, metallic taste in my mouth, and fatigue. The Doc sent me for a blood test (results come in next week), and she sent me for an ultra sound yesterday which revealed no sign of pregnancy? i am really confused and now i dont know if i am pregnant. I did another hpt last night and it was still positive! Can anyone help?

I was going to say to early perhaps also. Did they do both an abdominal scan and transvaginal scan?

It seems like a long wait for the blood test results. Is there any way you can asked to have them done urgently? It seems cruel, and potentially hazardous, to make you wait.

What was on the request form? Was it just testing for pregnancy? Or was it a group of tests. I'd be getting a rush put on them hun.

:hug: sorry you're going through this worrying time. It sounds to me like it's too early for anything to come up on an ultrasound though, seeing you possibly had implantation bleeding 10 days ago.

i pushed my docs appointment for 2pm today. The u/s referral requested a 'pelis scan' . They also did a vaginal u/s and couldnt find anything. i had a look at the u/s results before and they have detected 2 cysts on my ovaries, which now makes me worry more.. so should hopefully know more later this afternoon when i get blood results.

hi,i just wanted to say i had this happen with my first pregnancy,DD is now 2,she was hiding pretty well!!My doc also sent me for a scan estimating i was 7 week but i was barely pregnant so nothing came up except a sac did they see that?I had to wait 3 weeks till i knew if there was a baby there and sure enough at 8 weeks there was bub!measuring nicely!I hope you can get results back soon the wait is a killer but dont give up because highly likely its too early like mine was!!

Hey everyone,
well i went to the doc and she said that the cysts are nothing to worry about, they will check them in 3 months at my next U/S. The bloods came back with HCG levels indicating that i am about 2-3weeks pregnant so i am now just trying to relax and get rid of all this stress, thanks ladies for you support :) :)
