Just starting out ...
Hi
I've I'm nearly 28 and have always had irregular periods, even when on the pill. Doc prescribed a few different pills to try & after yrs of frustration & pain I went off the pill about 6 weeks ago. I'm trying to let my body run it's natural course. I have a history of ovarian cysts. When I was 19 a gyno told me that if I wanted to have children I'd have to do it in the next 5 yrs... It's been nearly 7 yrs. It might only take 6 months for us to conceive but I think it's gonna take alot longer. My fiancé & I decided to have a baby about 3 months ago but wanted to get healthy & prepare ourselves & our lifestyle as much as we can. Now is the time to start actively trying which we have been doing for 6 weeks. Hopefully you ladies who have been trying for a while can give me a few tips or info. I want to hear your stories (-: & share mine with you coz even tho I have so much love & support from my fiancé, friends & family ... It's good to talk to ladies going through the same sort of thing.

Welcome curtysgirl :)
Here are some trying to concieve acronyms...
TTC- trying to concieve
o- ovulation
Dpo- days past ovulation
Hpt- home pregnancy test
Opk- ovulation predictor kit
Afm- as for me
Ikywim- if you know what I mean
IMHO- in my honest opinion...
There are loads more in the forum help/ abbreviations part of the site. Have a look around! :)
We have a number of lovely ladies in the ttc 1-6 month thread at the moment and they have loads of advice on ttc :) such as charting (which involves taking your temperature daily throughout your cycle, monitoring cervical mucous (cm), and other things), using opks (and finding an addiction to poas tests (pee on a stick tests!)
Anyways welcome. And if you need any other info, feel free to message me on here or in my inbox
Good luck on your ttc journey. X
Sent from my iPhone (via Tapatalk) so please forgive the spelling mistakes...

Hi Curtysgirl, welcome, I know you will get stacks of help here :) I noticed you say you have always had irregular cycles, this was the case with me too. Have you seen your GP again yet? I would recommend booking in to see a specialist asap given your circumstances. These things can take eternity to get the ball rolling! Good luck :D

Curtysgirl, I remember you from the ttc 0-6 months group... I'm so sorry you haven't had any success. Where has your ttc journey taken you so far? Have you seen an FS?
There are some wonderfully supportive ladies in the LTTTC thread here, including some who have been through just about everything that ttc can throw at them, so I'm sure there will be a lot of support and understanding there for you.

Thanks ladies.
Pholi I'm a regular poster on the LTTTC and AC thread. they are wonderfully supportive. I'm just having a tough time at the mo & I came across this old post of mine & thought two years ago I wasn't expecting to be still here two years later.
I've done 2 stim (OI) cycles & responded well however no conception. Just signed up for stim IUI with DF frozen sperm. Got stuck in the mud on day 3 with a corpus luteum still attached to my ovary ..... Stim cycle/IUI put on hold while I take provera for ten days and two months on the pill.
I told the girls in the forum that I'm taking a break from BB for a while but look here I am !
Stalking occasionally
