Weight.......
I am 17 weeks pregnant and still below my start weight. Is this normal? I feel like I got bigger than when I was pregnant last time early on but now seem to be getting thinner and thinner. I lost weight and just struggled to put it back on. I am eating well but not eating lots of crap or anything - but I've noticed my wrists and face getting boney looking. My belly is prominent and getting bigger slowly. I just feel sick and tired :(
Anyway, just checking it's normal not to have put on the weight I lost early on from sickness.....

Hey sak,
I didn't put on any weight with #2 until about 20wks. I was still bf my DD and that combined with running around after her just didn't leave much for me!
If you're concerned, check with your MW/Obs!

I lost a few kg in the first tri and I have just reached my starting weight again now at 18.5 weeks.
This happened to me last time and I was feeling pretty smug being half way with no net weight gain, but somehow I managed to put on 20kg in 20 weeks! I don't really want to repeat that (considering I kept the last 5kg of it) so I am being a bit more careful about what I eat this time (starting tomorrow....)

I was exactly the same. i didnt gain any weight until the last trimester but i think most of it was in the last few weeks as i just ate and ate.
As long as bubs is growing properly and measuring on track try not to worry. You have plenty of time to gain some weight thats even if you do.
Your body will do what it needs to for it to carry a baby.

I lost weight until about 17 weeks, then went back to my start weight until maybe 28 or so weeks...I'm now almost 31 weeks and I've put on 10kg since my start weight (6 after I lost weight in the first tri).

Thanks everyone. The Ob hasn't said alot, just that my weight "isn't much." I didn't put alot of weight on until after 20 weeks last time either but I didn't lose weight and have to get back to my start weight either. I just feel really blergh and tired and thin looking at the moment, it's probably more psychological than anything else. Thanks so much for your support.
