Best toilet training 'cloth' pants for out and about??? Recommendations please....

My little girl is 2.2yrs old now and she's very good in undies around the house and only really needs nappies for sleep times. I really feel she's ready to be in something other than a nappy when out and about as quite often she's dry when we're out and she'll use toilets sometimes too like in parents rooms etc. Very good on the toilet at home.....

Soo..... I have her in undies around the house but when an accident does happen the 'contents' goes straight through them as we all know!! :lol: so, I need something more reliable if I'm going to take her out and about in undies.

I've been looking at Little Britches training pants but they are $30 :o don't want to spend that much..... my friend sews liners into her little girls undies and I think I might try that..... what are some good training pants i can buy that will hold wee/poo for a short time until I get her to the toilet while we're out and about?? I need something reliable for her 1 day a week at kindy also, as soon I'll be letting her go in them to kindy rather than a nappy.

We've got a few of those cheap toilet training pants from Best & Less you know those terry one's with the foam layer inside but I think you may as well just use undies they leak straight through.....

Not looking to spend alot.... already spent way too much on our cloth nappy stash when she was younger :lol: :lol:

I initially bought a 3 pack from BigW. They were fine. Don't hold much but I found that if DS had an accident, it was all or nothing - so no trainer pants was going to do the job. He's only ever done one poo accident. I think it grossed him out so much that he'd never do it again.

I put him in undies at Occasional care and sent 2 lots of spare clothes. I told the carers and they were very good at ensuring he went to the toilet. (They must have been through it with hundreds of kiddies:)).

I didn't ever put him in a nappy after we decided to TT. I was worried it might confuse him - sometimes he could wee, sometimes he couldn't iykwim.

Well that's the thing, I think using nappies for sleep time and then putting her in undies when she wakes does sorta confuse her.... although she understands so much and I talk to her about why I'm putting a nappy on her for sleep time "nappy for sleep as you aren't ready just yet for big girl undies while you sleep" etc...... I explain.

What brand were the Big W one's you bought?

Oh, I do put him in a night nappy still - but just not other times.
