Spitting.

Isaac enjoys spitting. Like blowing raspberries with lots of dribble. :doh: It's gross and it's driving us crazy!
We've tried distraction, ignoring it, asking him to stop and explaining it's yucky, yelling :redface:, smacking on the hand :redface::redface:, time out, putting him in his cot.
Nothing is working!
:help: we're not enjoying the spit showers.
Is this a phase or can we get him to stop?

We have been going through the same thing with DS and he is the same age as yours. I tried getting angry at him but he would then just do it out of defiance whenever he got in trouble. Now we just completly ignore it and he has almost stopped doing it. Maybe just try the ignoring again for a bit longer - I figure he just got to know it was something that was pushing my buttons and now he sees that I don't care (even though I HATE it!) he isn't so interested.

DD went through this, not as a fun game but as her showing her frustration at something. And then one day, it just stopped. Hang in there :hug:

Dd did this but I figured a bit if spit can't hurt unless they spit acid!! so I didn't worry, she stopped it not ling after.
