Is there anyone who is able to tell me what will happen to the first child's child support amount when the paying parent has another child to a new live in relationship?
I tried looking at the online estimators but they are of no use to us.

The amount is adjusted so the amount paid by the parent with the new baby is reduced.

So essentially our child now costs less? :(
Does anyone know if there is a way to find out how much it will reduce so I can adjust our already tight budget?
The CSA have an online estimator you can use.
The theory is the parent with the new baby has another child to maintain so their liability is reduced.
It depends on how much he earns but mine dropped by almost a 3rd when my ex had another baby. It recently dropped again and is down to a pittance due to him having 2 dependant children. It sucks especially considering he isn't the sole earner in their household.
I understand the theory I just dont completely agree with it.
I finally figured out I had to run the estimator as though I was the paying parent.
Thanks for those replies.
Also from the other side of the fence, dh's payments reduced by about $80 per fortnight when we had our second child, and he has yet to advise of baby number 3...but it just depends on how much your ex earns as to how much his payments will be reduced by.
Hth.
