OK ladies, hit me with it.. DH and i are going camping for the first time (ever together lol) plus this time we have our 18mo DD
will be camping up the beach with a bunch of other people (other little ones too im hoping) It might rain (hopefully not) we're going for 2 nights.
Will be in a camper trailer and have a porta cot for her.
What else (big or little things) should i MAKE sure i take?? any help would be awesome!! Thanks :)

My DD is a little younger and were currently camping have been for over a week, it's all so exciting I wouldn't bother about too many toys etc, pack a fave Teddy and maybe a ball etc but just make sure you have a stroller and lots of energy.
I love camp kids, they entertain themselves and will basically eat and play all day :)

First time we took DD camping, she was just over 18 months. It rained heavily all weekend, but she really wasn't interested in her toys. We found the only things she touched was a etcha sketch and a few books, other than that she was content to play with her cousin or play in the mud!
I agree, you don't need many toys. We just went away over Easter and my DD (who is 20 months) only really rode on her little bike and carried her favourite doll around. One morning it was raining so she was happy to draw with crayons and watch DVD's on our laptop.
One thing I highly recommend to bring is a tub to bath her in if the place you are staying at doesn't have baby facilities. We just use a plastic storage tub, it works great :D
We went camping at easter too, we found being in the bush they wanted to explore, play with leaves and at most kick a ball. There are just so many fun things to look at. We did take their night time things though a torch, Minnie mouse and a favourite book.
