Won't settle at night anymore

So DS2 has started screaming whenever we put him in his cot. He has always been a horrible sleeper with many, many wake ups at night but I looked on the positive because at least he would always settle himself to sleep at the beginning quite happily. But not anymore, now he just screams until he is hysterical, the minute he is placed in his cot, both at nighttime and naptime. I am too tired to cope with it so he has been sleeping in our bed. A situation which isn't ideal as he is a light sleeper and wakes when I do night feeds for dd and is then awake for hours overnight. Any ideas on how to stop it, how to get him settling again?? Do you think he is trying to tell me its time to move him into a bed??

have you tried moving his cot into your room, so he has his own space, but is still nice and close if her gets scared?

His cot is in with his brother so he's not alone. I have thought about moving the cot in with us. I'm just not sure if that will fix the problem of him waking when I get up to feed dd as she's in the room with us too.

I wish I had the answer but I don't - all I can say is we are going through this with DD at the moment. Strangely enough just for her night sleep, for day naps she's fine. Put her to bed at night and she screams the place down - we rock and pat and then lay her in her cot once calm and have to stay by the cot until she's asleep. Hoping it's a phase - for your DS too :crossfingers:
