i think it is possible, but highly unlikely
my SIL is about 8 weeks pregnant now, and they had sex the day after her AF finished.....she thought she was safe, but obviously not Lol. does that answer your quesiton, or are you asking if you can get pregnant *during* your AF? cause i don't know if many people are game to even try that.......:o
mummydreamer I would not be game to try that either, ewwww LOL I should have been more specific, I meant like the case of your SIL, we DTD 2 days before and in the heat of the moment it happened, we aren't actively trying but we have been in discussions so either way I guess ;)
Two days before your period? Did you end up getting your period? Because if so I'd say you're fine...if it's late you may have conceived.
I got what I think is my period today, but would everything happen so quickly if an egg was fertilised, would you still have to wait till the next cycle or would your period just automatically stop?? Oh man this is sounding confusing LOL
It is highly unlikely especially if it is before AF. I fell pg the day my AF finished with my now 3yr old DS
Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but as a teenager at high school we were visited by a "young mums" group... Ie teenagers and they said the whole "can't get pregnant whilst with af is a myth. Thought the whole idea was gross but then one of my friends falls pregnant by accident while she had af and was asking menof it was possible... I said if you have then obviously it is! Guess it supports what the "young mums said"! X
It can be possible to ovulate (and conceive) a few days before your period. Doesn't happen often but it can. BUT, you would not get your next period. The egg (corpus luteum) would be releasing hormones that prevent your period.
One of the girls in my MG has a friend who was struggling to fall PG and when they went through fertility testing, they found that she ovulates during her period. She fell PG not long after that as the DTD while she had her period. Amazing hey :)
Wow thanks for all the info ladies, i guess I will just have to wait and see what happens, if I get my af next cycle then it's not to be and if I don't I guess i better start testing :) Thanks again!!
