Offering both sides?
DS is 3 months old this week and so far at every feed I only give him one side, and he goes for prob about 30mins, then has a 3-4 hour break before his next feed.
But I'm just wondering should I be offering both sides at each feed? Like shortening the time on the first side and offering him up the second? Sometimes I still worry that he isn't getting enough milk but I keep telling myself he would be alot more upset if he was hungry and would let me know he is hungry.
So am i BFing right just giving him one side a feed? Or should I be using both sides a feed?

If he's doing well, lots of wet & dirty nappies, good weight gains, etc, etc, then no need to change a thing. He'll let you know if he needs a second side.

sounds like you are *doing it just right* - you have a happy, settled, thriving baby. Well done!

some babies just seem to be 'one side' feeders! my DS was exactly the same - apart from the first few weeks, he only ever fed one side at each feed.
sounds like you guys are going really well :)

I'll echo everyone else, sounds like you're both doing fine! DD only fed one side til about 4/5 months, and whilst I didn't know how she'd let me know, I just knew to offer the second stage when the time came. She only ever fed one side through the night too.

Thanks guys, I think I just needed the affirmation :) I'm taking him to get weighed to make sure he is still gaining weight tomorrow and if he is then I'm all good.

sounds like you've got it all sorted!!! DS only feeds one side, actually I posted a while ago because at 5 or 6 months he suddenly wanted two!!! He's since gone back to one, just follow his lead, it sounds like you've both got good communication happening there!
