"Silly mummy!" moments

I just spent about 15 minutes trying to feed the back of Amelia's head. I know what you're thinking, and it's a simple explanation - it was dark, I feed her laying down while we're in bed, and I thought she was turned towards me. I dont know how it took me so long to notice, but I only found out when I tried to guide her towards me and found she had a nose where there should be a tuft of hair :rofl: She didn't seem bothered by it, so I don't feel too bad ;)

What have been your "Silly Mummy!" moments?

i've had a few, but my fave was when DS was only a few months old, thinking i was an old hand at the BFing caper & not really watching too closely as he attached. after a minute or two i thought it was a bit painful so took him off & found he'd been attached to a random bit of boob. their suck is soooo strong that i now had an extra nipple! i thought i was going to be stuck with it forever as a reminder to watch attachment. it went down pretty quickly but i did have what looked like a hickey (sp?) for a few days as a good reminder :lol:

Milly gave me her first boob hickey while we were still in hospital :lol: She can make them in a few seconds if she's hungry enough :p

When i was BFing DD, I had plenty of milk and it squirted everywhere and i meant everywhere, in her face, on my bf chair, the other side of the room.

Worse is, the black bf still has breastmilk spots all over it from my squirting!

DS1 was only a few weeks old and I was feeding and thinking ouch it hurts a bit (he was happy enought) but had to finish my BB thread i was reading first and yep big hickey next to nipple!!!!

I can't think of any right now but just wanted to say... Bahahahahaha Teni! That cracked me up :)
