Gassy bub
Hi there
We don't have any diagnosis yet (am seeing the child nurse today) but my little bub (4w3d) has a pretty intense witching hour for 1-2 hours before going to bed and I am beginning to suspect it's 'cos his tummy is hurting him. He may start to scream and then do a fart... I noticed it's worse when I'm farty myself...
and decided to go on a non-farty diet to see if it will help him. Does weight-watchers offer such a thing ? Can anyone recommend what I could cut out? I'm already vego and I know dairy can sometimes be a cause of gassy problems in bubs... Tbh I couldn't be arsed going vegan but if it would help DS2 then I would.
Suggestions gratefully accepted - much appreciated!

Not sure what weight watchers offers....but the MCHN told me: coffee, chocolate, the green/cabbagey type veges - (brocolli, cauli, brussel sprouts, beans), dairy could possibly cause pain in bubbas tummy. Ice cream is supposed to be not great for them - the combination of dairy and sugar together is a double whammy. I guess try eliminating foods then slowly re-introducing to see. but at 4 weeks it is all a bit tricky and could just him being a newbie bub and getting used to life. Even if you cut everything out just having milk in their tummies is a big thing for them. Forgot to mention (and I recommend this to everyone, I should be getting commission) but Brauers Stomach Calm did wonders for my bub, anything's worth a go (from chemists or health shops). Good luck :)

Thanks booboo and FJ
I was kidding about the weight watchers thing (ie losing weight) btw but it would be great to have a prescriptive diet rather than focusing on what I can't eat- as it's a long list)
Looks like we're in for a fun night.. Oh boy. Time to invest in some brauers SC, as suggested by booboo
Night all!

I have found Rohan likes to poo with out his nappy on when he is really bothered by wind. At the moment from about 3.30 am till about 6am he is pretty fussy. But have found that he settles once I get up to change his nappy, while its off he wee's & poos with out fail that last 3 nights & then he settles. So tonight at 3.30am when it starts I will get up & take his nappy off rather then snuggling in bed with him trying to get more sleep. See if I can get that poo out of the way so I can get more sleep in the early hours.

Interesting !
For a moment there FJ I thought you were going to say you leave his nappy off between 3-6a (jawdrop :))
That is a *****ing time to have a witching hour 3-6am :( poor you. 11pm is bad enough.
We got through last night by staying up and tag teaming it... DH watched telly and I was on the computer doing some study, it was so much more bearable than being in bed fretting and just wanting to sleep!
