The Best soap??

Ok DH and I are trying to find the best soap :lol: I am wondering if you can share your faves and why???

what sort of soap? like bar soap, body wash or hand soap? :)

Body wash i love nutrimetics.

Bar soap i love Perfect potions.

The best soap is no soap.

I do have a friend though that only uses Dove on her face, like not even moisturiser only uses Dove, and her skin is amazing. :dunno:
I can't use soap at all.


ETA: SO I just read that back... I DO use body wash, but it is soap free :rofl: Not, no soap, soap-free! :redface:

The adults in the house use Dove, DD uses soap free.

Dove really moisturisers our skin, DH used to have really dry skin and when we got together I convinced him to try Dove (a girly soap to him) and he now swears by it.

I love goats milk soap or olive oil soaps - they're very gentle and feel almost like satin on your skin. They're a bit pricier to buy but I've found a few good recipes for making them so I'm hoping to give that a go once I've got a bit more time (ha!)

Bodywash I use Moogoo.

Bar soap, either Dove or a goats milk soap :)

We use Michaels Olivara soap free wash. Thats all I buy for the whole family :)

for soap on tap (at bathroom sink) we use SUKIN (no parabens, no SLS, no chemical nasties, and made in Australia). We use a tiny amount each time.

for bar soap in shower, we use very basic goat's milk soap (no colours, no shapes, no perfumes), bought in bulk from Honey And Soap Shoppe in my city. i get 10 bars for $12.

Avado bodywash. (haven't used it yet, been happy with their sunscreens).

to wash clothes, we use either Aware Sensitive by Planet Ark, or Ecostore - whichever is on special. Only a tablespoon per wash.

to wash dishes, we use Ecostore dishwashing detergent

all of these affect our skin, so i include clothes and dish stuff too. (the amount of perfume in Omo Sensitive had our whole family itchy).

the "best" soap depends on what you need it to do.

what you personally react to. Some people react to herbs, i knew someone who reacted to lavendar in some organic lavendar soaps. Not every product, suits every person.

do you want to avoid unnecessary chemicals? do you have skin that really reacts to chemicals?
does your skin react to perfumes? have you got itchy skin? most cheap soaps contain parabens, a very cheap preservative that causes skin irritations in many people.

Moo Goo milkwash is great, but i'm no longer buying it, for cost reasons.

Dove dries my skin out. I hate it, but love the smell of it.

I am really loving MooGoo. It is amazing! MooGoo everything in this house now.

Bar soap :) I have body wash but DH likes the bar soap.
I am not a fan of dove it seems to 'melt' very quickly. Maybe that's just me!!! Lol
