Okay so I started giving my wee man 5ml's three times a day yesterday and man he HATES the taste... anyone got any tricks to help me get this into him...
it's sucks having to now syringe feed him now 5 times a day (2 x Losec, 3 x Mylanta) doesn't make for a happy bub cause then I have to calm him down before I feed him and he doesn't attach as well to begin with after a dose of Mylanta, but I let him attach how he wants then reattach him once he's settled.
It sounds mean but I would put a tiny drop of zantac on her tongue, then she would scream and I would shoot the rest right down the back of her throat. It worked everytime!
The other thing you can do is mix it with a bit of EBM?
I squirt it in .5 - 1ml lots into his mouth, sometimes he gags other times he screws up his face, screams then finally swallows.
Yeh we have to do it too.. i just tilt DD2 back, squirt some in the back of her cheek and then blow in her face which as a reflex makes her swallow.
