Flannelette flats-pins, snapi or just a cover??

I really should remember this as we used flats with DS only 2.5 yrs ago but I'm struggling to remember what we used. I know we didn't use pins, maybe I tried to use a snapi, but they are to hard on flannelette.
Will a good fitting cover be enough to keep everything in place? I've got some Maz covers and BBH covers until we are past the yukko newborn poo stage and then we'll use AIO's.

So what did you use with flannelette flats?

With flanny flats I didn't use anything. Just tucked the ends into the top, put the cover on and that was it. Newborns don't move much so there is no need to secure the nappy like you would on an older baby that kicks or rolls ;)

Thanks ladies, thats what I thought. Now just to refresh my memory on folds! Nothing like leaving things to the last minite!!

I used a snibb to hold it in place, it is a waterproof triangle shaped 'thing' that you tie around the nappy to hold it in place. Order them at any chemist brand is Able snibbs. I copied the pattern and made some out of breathable nylon shower curtains too.

I used pins. Store them in a bar of soap, then rub them in your hair to make them easier to push through. :D Old skool.
