So I'm off to sleep school on Monday with DS and they won't let me take my cloth nappies, I need to take sposies. Of course I have no idea what sort to get.
DS is 10mths and weighs about 10kg. He's a pretty heavy wetter - I'm a bit worried about night time, are sposies good at night? Will I be able to leave one on him all night?
What brand would you recommend?
Aldi brand nappies are great for heavy wetters or Huggies.

I agree with the Aldi brand, but not the huggies. I find huggies pretty ordinary for the price of them. I think baby love and target brands are comparable to huggies and cost significantly less.
ETA; Maybe see if you have friends who use sposies if you can have one to trial, whatever the brand.
Definitely Huggies. The only time DD has wet through is when she's due to go up a size. They go by weight but if you're DS is big, you *may* need the next size up. For example, DD is 11.5kg but we've just moved her into the 13-18kg size (they are called Walkers) as she wet through two nights running. Problem solved now :D We get 12 hours easy overnight
Dare i say they are better overnight?! :hide: We switched to disposables overnight, because they were much less bulky, didn't stink, and held as much if not more wee. I've used to the Aldi ones and Huggies in the past. I didn't really notice a difference..... But i have heard people swear huggies are more absorbent than any others on the market.
For super heavy wetters, i've heard of people either buying the next size up, or putting two on! The packets have weights on them, so just buy the right weight range for him. If he's on the cusp, go bigger.
Also gotta watch that bubby doesn't get a rash. My girls get red raw using huggies, but are fine with the baby love and Aldi Brand. I find that Babylove fit alot nicer then Aldi brand.
I like babylove, find them comparable to Huggies but cheaper :)

Aldi ones are good, but I find I can't go past the Huggies, especially for night. DS does 12 hours easily without a nappy change.
We have always used huggies and only had problems when they need the next size up too :D DD2 has a few bottles over night and never wets thru
Aldi ones in the green packet are great. I use them for DD overnight and day.
We found Aldi ones terrible for our dd but I've heard the crawler ones are better than the nb so who knows. We use babylove now at night and they haven't leaked.
we went to sleep school, got told the same thing. But their refusal to let me use them on bilby, was based on flat nappies, pilchers and napisan. They had never seen MCN or understood how they worked.
So i took a big bag of MCN. A nappy pail. During the day, i changed bilby, put the poo in the loo and the used nappies in the nappy pail. Each evening, her father visited the sleep school, swapped a clean nappy bucket and a bag of washed mcn, took home the pail of used mcn. This worked well, but we lived maybe 30mins drive from sleep school and the sleep school was near his work.
After two days of doing this, the midwives (who had never seen MCN before) begrudgingly said it was ok for us to use cloth nappies at sleep school.
Just one person's experience.
Huggies or Aldi nappies are great for overnight (and day). I have found Babylove nappies in the past to be great too.
personally I love snugglers or huggies. Both are good overnight too :)
I smother Pixie's bottom/bits in moogoo MSM cream every night. She only has to wear the one disposable a day because no night cloth whatsoever has worked for us. She's a really heavy wetter and so much so that we have to buy a size above her "range" or it doesn't last!:
Gigi - thanks, that's really interesting to know. Sadly DH can't come visit and do the swap or I might actually try that... So I'm just going to have to go with sposies.
So it sounds like Huggies, Babylove or Aldi... Aldi probably isn't close enough seeing as today is Sat and I have to be there Monday... Might just go with Huggies.
Interesting about the nappy rash - thanks for the heads up, I'll have to try and keep an eye out for that!
And thanks for the tip on sizing. Can Huggies users suggest to me if I'd be better going the Walker size that someone mentioned?
