red neck? (lol)
my dd has such big rolls on her neck () that there are folds that never seem ti see the light of day, or get any air, and are getting abit red and look sore. (Though when DH & I do clean and dry it, it doesnt seem to hurt?)
just wondering what we can do/use to help get the redness away?
sorry if the post doesnt make sense, its hard to explain!

I know what you're talking about, I've seen this on bubs before - neck or sometimes thighs. Yo really need to just thoroughly dry it and maybe use some natural cornstarch in the cracks to absorb the moisture.

I get ya ;)
DS1 used to get the same thing, mostly from drool & sweat. I used cornflour on his neck every day and made sure he had loads of tummy time which encourages them to stretch that part of their neck up.

Thanks guys! Lisa - how do you use the cornflour? Like how long do you leave it on te skin and what not?

You can get some cotton wool balls and dab them in the cornflour then use your fingers to spread the rolls apart and lightly dust the rolls. Be careful not to put too much as it can cake up. Hope that makes sense :-)

I healed DD2's up with some nappy rash cream, then as above, tried to keep it dry...

if it gets kind of shiny on the red bits it can be something fungal - you can get anti fungal cream and powder thathelps clear it up. pat it dry after bathing and watch the drool.
