Hi there
I am planning a VBA2C and looking for a supportive Obs and hospy.
I have heard good things about Warragul Hospy as they have a VBAC centre/program I hear but wondered if anyone knew who the ob/s were there and what they were like? Or anything at all that you might now? I know Dr David Simons used to work out of there but believe he has now moved onto Traralgon.

Haven't got much time to post here at the moment but I had a VBAC with my twins at Warragul in March this year. It was a fantastic - and that is coming from me who did not want anything to do with a VBAC :). My doctor was Dr McLennan and he is very pro vaginal birth. All the midwives were excellent as well. Will come back later to type more!

He is super pro VBAC. So much in fact that we didnt really get along because I was convinced I wanted a caesarean and I wouldn't consider a natural birth with twins :). My comprimise with him was 'if my waters break, I'll try going natural' never imagining this would actually happen! In hindsight he was smart with the way he treated me because he never pushed me, probably realising I'd go waddling for the hills! I imagine that for someone who wants a VBAC he'd be great and very informative and supportive.
Warragul runs a BBAC clinic (Better Birth after Caesarean) clinic with the midwives, which I found great. I went along (reluctantly) and had a fantastic chat to the midwife who informed me of all my options etc and really put the idea into my head that I could actually do it.
My birth was fantastic and I pretty much loved him afterwards :p. For someone who never even considered a VBAC, I am amazed that I actually did it! In terms of the hospital - it is really good. For both of my pregnancies, all of the staff have been lovely. The rooms are nice and meals are great - I only mention food because I was transfered to another hospital the morning after my birth because my girls were sent to the special care nursery there a few hours after they were born, and the hospital itself was pretty unpleasant compared to Wgl.
You are right about Dr Simon too - he was my ob for my son and he was great too.
