Cleaning leather baby shoes?

Just wondering if anyone ever used the washing machine to wash their leather baby soft soled shoes? Ours are getting filthy and I read on google that you can machine wash and they take 3 days to dry but just wanted to see if anyone had actually done this before......

I have never washed anything leather, only used a cream leather cleaner type thing..... Sorry I'm no help!

I probably wouldn't put them in the washing machine! My friend tried this and they were ruined :(.

Try wiping them over with a damp cloth or hand wash them in cold water. When drying, reshape them and keep them out of direct sunlight.

No don't put them in the washing machine. Just clean them with some soapy water and hten give them a polish.

Initially I wouldn't have washed anything leather, but my SIL washes all of her leather baby shoes. She has just given me a whole lot of hand-me-downs for our little girl and they are still in really good condition. Perhaps try it on a pair that are really dirty / worn just to check?
