TMI - Cervix

so this a TMI alert but hoping someone can explain my cervix

ive never tried to find my cervix before
one- i didnt know you could find it yourself
but today i tried
right away i felt the buldge of his head and as i slid my fingers higher it got softer and musher with mucous (like extremly soft)
now im not sure if i found my cervix or not
but my fingers went higher then his head which was at the back
now is that normal at 37 weeks or is my body gearing up for labour
does it make sense??? sorry if it doesnt

I probably wouldn't be doing it (personally), as I'd be worried about the germs on your hands, doing damange where you really don't want damage to happen, iykwim?
Also, just the damage in general that could happen? I like the "err" on the side of caution ;)

I'm not sure either MOT but I probably wouldn't be trying it again, especially if it was his head you felt you don't want to accidentally break your waters or introduce germs.

i made sure i washed my hands before and after

i felt his head at the front not back but it felt very low

i wont be trying again but i might suck it up and ask for an internal next tues when i see my OB (my ob had giant man hands and can be kinda rough)

Ha yep definitely not a nice thought Those giant man hands! I don't think it will be long for you though xx
