DS2 has always had a gap between 2 front teeth, since he got them at 12 months.
Other day we realised that he has a frenulum between them which must be why there is such a gap.
Has anyone else had a child with this? Did you see GP/Pead or a Dentist? Did it get snipped and if so were they asleep??

DD has a small one which is about 2 mm long but I'm not concerned yet. I was going to go to the dentist and get her's checked at the same time (so she can see that i'm not scared/hurting) and ask the dentist's opinion then. A friend's child had one and it shrunk by the time her adult teeth were about to come through. That may be the case with most kids

Amelia doesn't have teeth yet, but I can see that she'll be in the same boat when they come in :( I thought for a while that it was the reason for the pain I would have during feeding, but either I was wrong or she's worked a way around it :)

most kids have it, id leave it for now unless a dentist says otherwise as it will probably reduce down, DD2 has a gap and tbh gaps are better, it means when the adult teeth come through there is more room
Millana has a very very large one but hers isn't the middle one it's the one that is meant to be ever so tiny on top of her mouth but above her k9 tooth on her left. It swings really low. Goes from the top of her tooth to her lip. You can see Lump on her lip when you look at her.
She will never be able to run her tongue over her top teeth and gums because it will catch.
But anyway we have been seeing a pediatric dentist since she was 4 months every 6 months and they will only keep a eye on it. She has said it rarely a cause for a gap and basically they would only be able to snip it if it begins to annoy her or catch food etc rather then anything else as only braces would fix a gap.

Both mine had it. Ds caught his on a curtain when he was crawling and tore it himself, but with dd it was making a gap between her top teeth so she went into rch, they put her under and snipped it.
I hated seeing her go under, but aside from that no probs since
