They're silky smooth but...

OUCH!!!!!

I got a bit slack with shaving my legs and they were gaining a forestation listing, so I grabbed the Veet out of the cupboard and used it.
In the past it has been fine, but ouch my legs are stinging!! They are silky smooth, but driving me insane with the sting. Even moisturising them hasn't eased the sting. There's no rash, so I don't think it's an allergic reaction as such, but does anyone have any idea how to stop it from being soo ouch?

I had to stop using it for that exact reason. Now I've converted to waxing and soooo much happier with the results.

No stopping sting advice but make sure you wear light cotton pants whenever you can over the next few days/ I found that when I wore more cotton or left my legs bare it stopped stinging faster.

I've got shorts on at the moment so nothing is touching them and it is slowly settling. Only used it because I can't be bothered shaving them and they were getting annoying... might have to suck it up and get them waxed in future, but I haven't found someone that will get all the hair!

Don't go to an el cheapo "express" place. You really do get money=quality with waxing. A couple I have seen have looked so unhygenic too! I went to one express place and they made my eyebrows straight... I looked permanantly surprised for a good 6 weeks. I have found that even this late in pregnancy my body hair is no where near as feral as when I was having DD. Post DD my hair growth changed and let's just say my waxer was earning her pay :lol: Since I started it has been so much better with growth.

I'd lay off the moisturiser to let your skin breathe too. It might be making it worse.

I've always paid good money to have waxing done, but my hair was really fine and blonde so they easily missed parts. I had a whole strip left up my leg once and didn't realise until the breeze hit it :lol:

I use the QV skin lotion, and I had to put some on because my skin is really dry and I was going to scratch another patch of skin off :(

Cold compresses and aloe vera gel might help - it has a lovely cooling effect. Ouch, hope it's better! Ah, the pain us ladies go through...
