Ovulation Pain - Where is it? What does it feel like?

I've just been noticing a sharp but dull pain on my right side, kinda in deep where my hip bone would be. Is that ovulation pain? or should it be lower down near my pubic bone?

I took a OPK yesterday and today and both were +ve so have been super vigilant about any twinges etc down there.. I know not everyone feels when they ovulate either...

yep thats where i feel it, just above my hip bone (im feeling it now actually !), for me it is like a stitch type pain in my side and around my back and after i have ovulated i usually feel tender in that area for the next day. i hope you have been getting busy with DH, good luck in your 2ww !

I actually feel mine right down low similar to where I feel period pain, only it is very very mild. I haven't noticed any obvious tenderness on either side or anything, but then I've never bothered to feel either.

Sounds like O pain to me. Can be felt differently for everyone - I get it a few days in the lead-up (with slight backache) and then major pain on the right side when it's about to pop. Hurty, but a good "egg telegram"!

Thanks for your feedback ladies. I'm feeling a bit crampy (like v.mild AF cramps) and had a temp dip this morning so trying to work out if I O'd. I'm so new to this cos of being on OCP for so long and then not having a cycle until falling PG with DS.

By my hip bone. I'm not entirely sure if I've always felt it, I can't really remember. But I've felt it especially after having DD in December.

Oooo thanks Charlotte! Good to know I might be feeling O. I know that not all women feel it so Ive been extra vigilant about any twinges and pains down there!

Sorry I'm a bit late with my response for this but I'd say what you felt sounds like O pain! :dance:

I get O pain every month and to me it's like a sharp stabby type pain around your ovary area. This stabby type pain I feel usually comes and goes for about 24 hours for me. I also find that a day or so before O I get a really sore lower back which kind of goes around from my back, around my hip to my ovary area.

I hope you O'd this week and that even with just DTD once, you caught your eggie! :p

Thanks honey for sharing your experiences. I did ovulate! :hooray: I got a -ve OPK today :happydance: so now I wait!! We DTD on Tuesday and I O'd on Friday so hopefully his spermies hang around long enough to meet my eggie!

If his spermies hung around and you do get a :bfp: then it may be a PINK bundle for ya as they say doing it before O but not close to O increases your chance of a girl! ;)
