One syllable boy's names?

Ok so I think this baby needs a one syllable name.. Our other two kids have names ending in the 'ee' sound (B r i t t n e y and A r c h i e).

I want something not too common but not completely weird either!

Top of our list so far are-

Tex (my fav!)
Zac (DH's fav)
Taite
Will
Tom
Joe
Sid

WDYT and if you have any suggestions please let me know!

Tom is my favourite - but that is DS's name ;). People do tend to call him 'Thomas' (which is not his full name, he is 'just Tom' as he tells everyone). People also call him Tommy or Tomcat (I blame Tom Cruise/Katie). I find lots of older people say "That's a good solid name" when they hear it

I LOVE Tex - it is really cool and suits baby/boy/teen/adult. I also like Will.

My DS2 is Rhys, not overly common but not unusual either.

You will probably find that Zac, Will, Tom, Joe and Syd will be extended to the full versions of the names. It seems that if you use the longer version everyone shortens it and if you use the short version everyone lengthens it..

I love Tex and Syd, I think that Tom, Joe and Will are very common and also shortened versions of longer names - but I do like them.

What about Dean (great name)!!

Thanks ladies. What worries me about Will is that it'll get lengthened to Willy! I really don't want that!

DH's cousin has a son named Tex.

The only issue they have is people assuming is a nickname an addressing him as 'Texas' both in person and on official documents, mail etc

You know I was watching Bold & the Beautiful the other day and one of the actors is 'Texas Battle'. At first I thought silly but I actually like Tex or Texas as a name:)

I like Jed too but it's my Mum's dog's name! I tell you, between all the pets and kids in my family.. Not to mention friends, there's not alot left!
