Wrap slings and CS?
Ok, so i really want to use a sling with this bub. I was thinking of getting a hugabub...
Now, i was going to get this before bub was born so i could use it straight away- then it hit me this arvo that i'm having a C-section.... I won't be able to use a sling for a while will i?? Just curious what others have done?
TIA xx

I couldn't use my meitei until my wound was comfortable. Probably week 4-5. I did start wearing DS in a shell sling from about day 3 at hospital though.

I used my hugabub within two weeks of a c/s. It kind of carries bub higher than where the wound is, if that makes sense. The sling I have this time would be nowhere near the scar either.
Try it on beforehand and see where it sits on your frame (I know it's hard when you're pg!).

I had a hug a bub and used it from about 2 weeks after c/s - was in hospital for over a week and then just stayed home.
I loved it DS could sleep for hours while I was out.

Thanks girls :D From what you all have said i may just wait till after bub's born to get one, then i can try it on with bub to see if i'm comfy. As far as wrap slings go, are hugabub's good? Other brands recommended? Thankyou :D

I am the same as the others, from 2 weeks used a Hugabub wrap which I made with my mum - it is essentially a long piece of stretchy fabric so it was easy to sew! There is a new one out that makes it easier to wrap right now - I htik its a close carrier and it's not as excy as the HAB.

Thanks Tanstar :) I might have a look at the close carrier as well :) And i would make a sling if i could sew but i can't lol. xx
