Don't always think badly of a tradesman....

DH got a call this morning from a very angry person who is renovating a house and his current electrician hadn't turned up and wasn't answering the phone.

The work the client had today was crucial and an electrician had to be there. So DH went to the job. Upon arrival, the electrician called and got an earful from the man renovating the house, only to be told......

The electrician's wife had gone into labour :D He'd had his hands a little bit tied and called as soon as he was able.

The man renovating the house changed his tone and was full of "Good luck" and "All the best" and they've worked out that DH will be employed for the day by the other electrician, so the work can continue.

Wishing them a good labour! And sometimes tradies don't turn up for a very good reason!

That sounds like a pretty good reason to me, hope all goes well for them.

Luckily when I was in labour DF had time to call his clients before he was meant to be at the job. I did worry about what would happen when the time came, people aren't always understanding. "My wife is in labour" is probably one of the only things you can get away with without copping an earful! :)
