Ok so as the title says I would like to do a MYOB course as it seems that is what most employers want these days. I am ment to be going back to my old employer but not doing my old job and I'm not really fussed on that now with all the stuffing around he has been doing abs changing the original plan and days I go back.
Just wondering if there is anything I could get from CL to help with the cost as it's not a cheap course
I'm really not sure. They might, but I'm thinking because you aren't obligated to look for work yet they may not. From what I understand it is the job network agencies that help you with all that and you wouldn't be registered with one. However, definitely don't quote me on that. Tafe normally let you pay courses off have you asked them?
even if you ARE obligated to look for work, there is nothing that c'link will help with if you're not on income support (and then only on some forms of income support)
you can request a referral to a job network member, but they are under no obligation to help, so it would depend on how much available funding they have - generally they will be more likely to help low income/unemployed peoples as they get government funding to place income support customers into education/training/work
No, they wont help unless you are classed as "looking for work" rather than being a parent (iykwim). Ive rang and asked and it would involve changing my "situation" all together.. looking for work, going to appointments etc.

what the others said. C'link don't pay for courses. If you are on income support, there are a couple of small payments that may assist while you're studying (look up Training Supplement, Pensioner Education Supplement and Education Entry Payment on the website) but like everyone else said, you need to be on income support to receive any of those. Job Services Australia (job network members) get very limited funding to assist people with course fees, but if you aren't on income support they receive zero funding to place you. Have you looked into FEE-HELP for the course you're interested in?
