Possible Hip Dysplasia in older baby - paed recommendations. Perth.
Hi girls,
My ds2 hasn't been walking quite 'right' since he started a few months ago. Last couple of weeks there has been lots of falling over, favouring of one side and his right foot drags and turns out. I feel like the worst mother in the world for not picking it up sooner, surely I should have known before now :shakehead:
I've been taking him to chiro over the past 2 weeks, went back yesterday and they strongly recommended I make a gp appt and get a paed referral to have his hips checked. They've been working on his pelvis but as 4 lots of chiro in 2 weeks hasn't made any difference they've told me they're pretty sure it's his hips.
I have my gp appt booked for Monday but I have no idea about paeds in Perth! We've been very lucky with ds1 and never needed anything other than a gp appt for him.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Are there paeds who specialise in Hip problems? From what I can gather, if this is the correct diagnosis then surgery will be the only option due to his age and bone development already. :(
Thanks!
