Second time around
When I was pregnant with Moo I was a hormonal, angry, blubbering mess! I swear, you couldn't even look at me sideways  I was so exhausted I would cry and cry. He made me so uncomfortable with rolling, kicking etc. By about 24 weeks I was completely over it. During all my scans he was flipping around and even now is non stop.
I'm now 20 weeks and often forget I'm even pregnant...til I feel a kick! Although I'm feeling movements everyday they're certainly not uncomfortable or painful. I'm pretty much myself most of the time, fairly cruisy apart from the odd tearful day. If I do too much I get tired but nowhere near how exhausted I was first time around. During this little guy's scans he's been happily floating around in there so possibly I have a more sedate one this time
But of course I'm now starting to worry if this is normal. Have any of you had remarkably different pregnancies? Is it just because I'm used to the hormones etc? I suppose working full time with the first one added an extra stress to pregnancy...but it's pretty busy with a toddler too :dunno:

Yep, this time is absolutely nothing last my pregnancy with DD. This bubba is way more active than DD ever was and I would say giving me more physical ailments too. I wake up sore, I can't sleep because my hips and back ache and I pee every 2 hours at night without fail. DD def wasn't like this. I think for me, it's the distraction of DD and I forget that I am pregnant, so this LO is happy to remind me :)
So yes, I totally agree with you - this pregnancy is very very different but we're on opposite ends of the argument :)

Pretty normal I'd say - each pregnancy can be so different!! There are so many variables - baby gender, your health, baby's size, position, position of placenta, your job, your age, how long between pregnancies, how fit you are…and you can just keep adding to the list.

Every single one of my pregnancies have been sooo completely different. It amazes me even now, just how different this one is compared to the three very different ones I have had previously (I didn't think I could get that many kinds of different  )
-
So far, yep pretty different - DD I was a lot sicker, more emotional and oh my god I'm not ready for this...
This time I'm a lot more relaxed, but soooo much tireder. Baby is a lot more active with some really thumping kicks, rather than little pokes and wriggles but that could be the boy vs girl thing.

Yep, i was so sick with my DD's pregnancy but this time i'm feeling pretty good. i only had mild nausea, no vomiting this time. Hoping it continues and i can avoid carpal tunnel and the other ickies i had with my DD too.

strangelk - lol we're completely the opposite! You sound like how I was with Moo!
Nelle - yes that makes a lot of sense, there are a few differences this time such as not working as a nurse, I guess that was hard on me at the time.
Misty - lol that makes me feel better! Amazing you can have 4 different pregnancies!
CK - yeah maybe emotions have a bigger part to play than I first thought. My first pregnancy was such a shock to the system, perhaps that's why I found it all harder whereas this time I feel pretty cruisy :D
HotI - that's great you're feeling better so far, hope the rest of your pegnancy goes smoothly!

There could be something in that CM - DD wasn't planned, my relationship was far from stable and I was a good 10 years younger - barely 20. So not really ready at all, which emotionally impacted the pregnancy quite a bit. This time the pregnancy was planned and very much wanted, relationship is steady and I'm in a much better place.
If you weren't really ready for your first, or even if you were there's so much to adjust to becoming a parent for the first time, and it's a lot to take in - second time around you sort of know what to expect so are more prepared maybe?
