dreams, dreams, dreams

Hi all :)

I've been having a fair few recurring dreams that reappear every night. For three nights in a row I dreamt that I hurt my left ankle whilst out doing my census work..

Then yesterday I feel down some stairs and yup sprained my left ankle!! I had even made mention of it a few times to DH about this dream.

Its not the first time its happened. Quite often if I have a recurring dream, it more often than not happens.

The other recurring dream I have at the moment is a tad different. This 'dream' consists of Dh grandfather (who has passed away) telling me that he is going to look after us, that everything is going to be ok, and then he always leads me to the his home which is currently being rented out but is still owned by Dh's grandmother. Then once at the house, he says he wants us to live there..

This same dream happens every night, and I thinking back its been almost every night that I have been pregnant. Ive even asked him not to come to me because I cant sleep after he comes. But he still does. the last time he was in my dreams was the morning when he passed away, in that one he and I talked. I've taken it to be his farewell to me.

Heres my question; would you ask if there is a possibility of renting out the house? Is that what he means? (well that is the literal meaning of the dream) The whole thing was a saga last year, we were meant to rent it off them, but mil decided to go outside the family..
What would you do?

I'd leave it - it will work out how it is meant to happen & if you are meant to say something your DP grandfather will make it happen - trust me, happened to a friend recently. Her passed gf literally 'made' her bump into someone to get a message to her. If your DP grandfather wants you to rent the house, he will make it happen :-)

I was going to leave it because it isnt my place to say anything, afterall Im only the dil... But this morning Dh apparently asked his mum about it this morning, so now we are just going to have to wait and see what happens.

Although now the question ahs been asked Im hoping granddad leaves me alone tonight so I can get some awesome sleeping done! :)

ok, thought I might update this.

After Dh asked MIL about it, things went very quiet andn uncomfortable between us and DH's family. Everytime DH asked for an answer MIL would refuse to answer him and would suggest other alternatives.

This morning however, DH went over to his parents house to get things sorted. After all we needed an answer soon.

DH was gone a good while and upon his return, he tells me that his mum and grandma are good for us to rent the house, however his aunt doesnt want us to because it would hinder them (her) being able to sell it once grandma passes. (The house is still owned by grandma, but MIL is the one who takes care of all decisions. Also the house goes to MIL and aunt once grandma passes on)

So my thinking is that granddad came to me, to ask us to rent the house because he doesnt want it sold? It kind of makes sense, with us in there they will be less likely to sell it because they wont want to truf out family opposed to the 'tenant'.

So thats my thinking on granddad's grand scheme of coming to me in my dreams. WDYT?

Just another update.

Everything has been sorted and we are moving into the house! :D

Dh ended up telling his mum about my dreams and how much of an effect they were having on me and him. She admitted that she knew it was the right decision to make, and gave the real estate notice.

So the tenants had until the 29th Dec to move out, and my dreams continued with DH's grandfather saying he would be spending christmas in house again with family. (I have to admit I doubted him because I really felt in my heart that that wouldnt be the case)

But yesterday we got the phone call and the house will be ours as of next week! Last night I had the best dream with grandfather. It was nice, and for the first time in months it feels like things are starting to fall into place.
