Did your IVF clinic contact you?

I did round 1 of IVF early this year, which resulted in a miscarriage at 8 weeks.

I have 3 frozen embies ready and waiting when I choose to return for my FET.

I haven't heard from my FS or anyone from my IVF clinic since I went in there the day before my d&c to have a counselling session.

Is this strange? I would've thought that I would've received a phonecall at the very least, if not an offer to see my FS to discuss what went wrong and to put a plan in place to move on to the FET. Or does this all happen when I make the move to go back for round 2?

I don't know if I'm reading too much into it? My SIL is on round 3 of IUI at another clinic and her assigned nurse calls her every week to touch base and discuss what went wrong / upcoming procedures.

I understand that it's up to me when I want to go back for my FET, but I thought I would've received something more from the clinic.

I'm not sure babe, maybe they are leaving it up to you to get in touch about your next cycle?

I guess they may see it that nothing went wrong as your IVF resulted in a pregnancy. But I agree that it's a bit rubbish that they haven't been in touch to see what you want to do/ chat about what happened.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking now too.

But I did honestly expected a phonecall from my FS or one of the nurses, even to just to check in.

Mine never contacted me about anything. Ever. I always thought it would be nice to have a bit more personal contact. It's such an emotional rollercoaster - they don't seem to get in touch unless you initiate it.

Yeah, I think it depends on the clinic. Mine was like Lenny's. They only get in contact when they want something - these days it's money for embryo storage.

Never mind, I'll call them in a couple of months when I'm ready to go back.

I think I have a letter at home about embryo storage... I haven't paid anything though and I haven't heard from them requesting payment. Hmmm, should maybe check that out.

The first year is usually included in your cycle cost. They hit you up for it after that.
(mine has doubled the cost this year!!!!!)

When I had my MC and D&C I never heard from my clinic at all....even after they stuffed up all the paperwork for my D&C and I had to sit at the hospital for over 13hours waiting for an emergency spot to open up! My FS did try and call me on the day to see what the hospital was calling him about but I never got his calls....but afterwards i never heard a thing from the clinic.

I rang them on Day 1 of the cycle when I wanted to start again and we just went from there. No one ever said a word about my D&C or what happened....

You would like to think they would call but to be honest I dont even know if my FS reads my file all that much....I have had one MC/D&C at 9wks and 2 chemicals and he has never said anything except.....'its all about finding the right embryo'

Mine never called me either love :( I think our next cycle will be around Feb time so ill just call them then. I agree though, it stinks, it made me feel like a number not a person. xxx
