Just wondering if anyone else out there has this horrible symptom. Have had it for the last 5 weeks and tried antibiotics, nasal sprays, doc prescribed corticosteroids but haven't used them..... ugh .... if you do have this how are you managing it?

Have you tried ear candling? Are they full if wax or is it a sinus thing? I get blocked nose in pregnancy and just go through the Fess.
i havent no, have you tried ear candles? they get rid of alot of cr@p out of your ears!!
they are a little bit expensive but maybe worth a shot??
i do notice my ears "crack" alot though!
yeah, haven't tried the candles only coz i think their mostly for wax. Doc had a number of peeks in my ears, reckons there's not a skerrick of wax in there but can see the fluid behind the ear drum. Problem is that it's not draining out of the eustachian tube due to them swelling (hence scripts for corticosteroids and nasal sprays :( )
He reckons all I can do is keep treating with the sprays and such until after i deliver but is so horrible, like living in a tunnel :( Wondering how other people are dealing with it and if they had it in pregnancy if it went away after delivery...
ahhh ok, poor thing
I've still got issues with my ears, 4months after having DS.
After seeing an ENT, he explained it's quite common, due to fluid that is retained during pregnancy. For some of us, that includes in the ears and makes them blocked.
You can get them drained by the GP, as an option.
I'm potentially going to need grommets (yep, what they put into kids ears) if they don't start "draining" themselves soon :(
Good luck!
I had it last pregnancy, and again this one. It settled last time after ds was born, so fingers crossed again.
I just make sure dh stands on my left side, only right side is affected, and lowing my head below horizontal helps.
Lived with it, and it has been the entire pregnancy with both (well I've only just hit third trimester with this one!)
I'm wary of using nasal sprays because I have really weak blood vessels in my nose, and nose bleeds are on my list of things I really dislike since living with them since I can remember
ugh... yeah, am nearly 35 weeks here and trying to decide whether to start on this new decongestant spray or wait it out .... you surviving the whole pregnancy and now being up to your third trimester with nothing is making think that maybe I could try to go without sprays for a while..... you sound like a strong woman :) Well done!!!!!!!!!!!
