Scared Im losing this one too. Brown bleeding - please give me some hope!

Hi,

I have been having brown bleeding which is actually more like brown discharge since yesterday morning. It is intermittant. I havent had any cramping except for one really bad cramp that had me doubled over on friday, but it only lasted bout 3 minutes.

I know that it CAN be normal in pregnancy, but with my first miscarriage before me DD I didnt have cramping and only had 2 tiny brown spots. When I had my scan we found out the bub had died weeks before.

I am 7 weeks and 5 days today. I saw and heard the heartbeat at 6w6d in my Obs office. Is that a good sign?

I went to my Gp yesterday but because it was a saturday they said their wasnt much they could do. They gave me a letter to take to emergency but I decided not to go as didnt want to sit there for hours as I have heard to many horror stories about nasty staff and miscarrying in toilets.

My ob is on holidays atm but he has a locum working so I am going to ring first thing tomoz to see if I can get in for a scan asap.

Why can't I just have a normal, stress free pregnancy? After my miscarriage and infertility and complicated pregnancy with my DD I really hoped this would be uneventful - but appears not (again!).

Sorry this has turned into a long winded post. Just hoping others have had brown bleeding that turned into being nothing - or were you told the reasons. Ahhhh this is doing my head in...

I have had brown discharge in most of my pregnancies. All except my first. This is my seventh. I have 2 children. So my track record is not fantastic. When it happened again this time at 5 weeks I freaked out. Then I gave up. I did nothing because I had resigned myself to he fact that I was going to lose another - my final attempt. But it stopped.
Then it happened again at 8 weeks and there I was again, but my GF convinced me to make a doctors appointment. She got me a scan and there was my tiny baby complete with heartbeat on the screen. I don't know who was more relieved - me or the novice sonographer. They couldn't find a reason for my bleed.

Sometimes it can be old blood from where the implant was, sometimes there can be a small pooling of blood next to bub.

Ring your Ob's office tomorrow or even ring your GP back and just ask for a scan referral. Rest today. Seriously.

I have everything crossed that its just old blood and everything is perfect.

I really think you should go to the ED and get an ultrasound and a blood test. Just to put your mind at ease and to also know that everything is fine.

Firstly, I am so sorry that this is not going smoothly for you. It is such a horrible situation to be in. Like you said, it is a good sign that you have seen bubs hb earlier in a scan. I would, for peace of mind ring tomorrow and get another scan & bloods. I hope all is ok & your bubba is growing and developing beautifully.

Just wanted to give you hugs. I have never bleed brown blood before in a pg. All my mc were red blood. I am praying your little bub is safe and well xxxxxxxxx

:stickyvibesboy: for you hun. I had the same thing. It didn't settle down until after 12 weeks it was SO nerve wracking. Same as the other girls I would suggest calling your OB and resting. Everytime it happened I did nothing but sit on my backside and rest.

I had a m/c before DD1 and it started with just brown spotting. So then when I was 9 weeks pregnant with DD1 and I saw the brown spotting again I thought the worst, but she is now a healthy 2.5 yr old :)

I had a scan at my obs office and we could see the heartbeat. He then sent me to have a specialist scan which was great too, a strong, regular heartbeat 158 beats per minute and growing exactly for my dates. They couldn't see where the bleeding came from, so hopefully bub stays healthy and happy in there. So hard not to panic though!

Great news! Hopefully its just from the implantaion, which is what they thought mine was.

I'm glad to hear things are looking good.

I'm 7w5d today and I had some pink mucus for a couple of days about a week and a half ago. It was the two days before my Ob appointment. The exact same thing happened with my first pregnancy and I lost that baby, so I was expecting the worst when my Ob scanned me. I was about to cry when he thought things were looking too small for the dates I gave him (only possible conception date!), but it was just hard for him to see things because of my retroverted uterus. An internal scan ended up showing a beautiful little heart beating away at 132bpm and bub 2 days smaller than expected (I must have ovulated after DTD).

Even having seen the heart beating away I still stress every single day that something is wrong, but I'm trying to have faith that if this little one is this determined to be here, then it'll stay and be healthy :) I can't wait to be able to heart the heart beat on my doppler though. I just lowers my stress levels a little.

It is hard not to panic. :hug: so glad to read everything's all good though.

thanks girls, trying to stay positive. My next appoint is in 3 weeks , not sure if I can last that long without seeing bubs and checking but will see how I go!
