Clinics that import sperm

My fiancé and I are currently attending Hollywood IVF in Perth, WA. My DH has been diagnosed with Klinefelter Syndrome, and we are therefore in need of donor sperm. I have PCOS.

Hollywood does not have anonymous sperm, and we are aware of the shortage of anonymous sperm in Australia. We want to find fertility clinic that imports sperm from the USA. This isn’t an option in WA, which leaves travelling to another state for IVF.


I would really like to hear from anyone who has done this before. Which FS are the best? Can any of the tests be done in WA?

Importing sperm is prohibited in Victoria unless approved by the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority, which last year granted permission in just three cases. But states without specific reproductive legislation such as Queensland are routinely importing sperm, often from American sperm banks.

Hi,

My husband is also very likely to have Klinefelter's syndrome.. We are just awaiting the blood results.. But everything else (physical and lab results) point towards it, so his GP and the two of us have pretty much accepted it.. I was wondering if you had considered trying surgical sperm retrieval and ICSI? We are due to see a specialist thisbthursday so she will probably see if this may be an option for us.. But I just wondered if you had looked into it, and what were the possible reasons for it no being an option?
I know this is a somewhat outdated post, but I'm hoping I'll hear back from you..
