This is for a friend who is 35 weeks pregnant.
Bub has engaged with both feet first, and she has been advised she will need a c-section as there are no obs in newcastle that will do this type of breech birth. So my question is, does anyone know of any ways she could get bub to disengage and turn around in the next few weeks?

she can try the stuff on spinning babies, or some acupuncture? Its not too late to turn, and I think I would be more worried if its bum was wedged in her pelvis and engaged, so I'd say she has a great chance of moving bubs :)
It's a footling breech. I wish I had found out my baby was breech. Just adding that info in case someone does a search on this thread.
Thanks Mel! Bub has been breech most of the pregnancy and I suggested the spinning babies website earlier but he seems determined to hit the ground running! I'll let her know acupuncture is an option too

I had the dr do an ecv which was successful and bub stayed head down afterwards. We did this at 37 weeks. We tried acupuncture, chiropractor (websters technique), moxa sticks, spinning babies.. nothing worked lol. We had a persistent breech on our hands too!
It's pretty hard to find somewhere that will support footling breech vaginal birth :/ dd2 was footling breech but not engaged.
With the ecv they said she was a big baby so chance of success was only about 20%. Just as a side point.. They were very quick to spell out the risks of an ecv but didn't say anything of the risks of a c/s. Thank goodness my midwife was with me to get me through their scare tactics. I got the impression they preferred to just book in a c/s over trying to turn bub. Also, we wanted to get the baby turned ASAP as I have a history of preterm labour. It is possible she could have turned on her own before birth.
I hope bub turns for her.
Can she get a second opinion. I had one Ob adament that DS2 was engaged and another who was equally as adament that he was not yet engaged and therefore could turn or be turned. 35 weeks is good. Still time.
X turned at 39 weeks and I put it down to RLT and walking walking walking walking walking.
Is it a first baby? or subsequent baby?
Definitely worth trying the accupuncture.
