Abnormal pap at 15 weeks

So it turns out, my pap smear came back with Severe Cell Abnormalities. I think officially something along the lines of High Risk Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions, apparently quite developed.

My OB gave me a Colposcope earlier this week, and a biopsy, to get a better idea of what was going on.

I'm beside myself waiting for the results... I dread to think of hearing the C word, even moreso anything to do with potentially losing my pregnancy. :pray:

Anyone had the same thing, and how did you go? How was treatment post birth? Did it affect future pregnancies?


I am kicking myself (hard!) for not looking after myself when I was younger, and not having enough pap smears!!

Hmm I have not had a pap smear while pregnant, even thought I was due for one my OB said to wait until after the baby is born becuase of the extra hormones it can increase the abnormal result readings so not accurate.
