Hi there.
Looking for women who've hired a TENS machine via the internet (as opposed to their hospital) for use in labour. There seems to be numerous companies that hire them, and quite a variation in pricing for the hire.
Can anyone recommend any specifically? Or conversely, advise against certain TENS hire sites?
I don't know if I want to necessarily go with the cheapest to hire, since part of me thinks maybe it won't be the best of the machines out there.

I hired mine from birthpartner dot com dot au. they were fantastic. They worked out the cheapest $75 incl post and I had it for 5 weeks but you can have it for 8 weeks no extra charge. They send you lots of info etc and the machine Is easy to use. I liked the fact I could put it on burst mode and just leave it go without having to fiddle around with the machine during a contraction. There were also lots of diff levels in the strength so you could gradually work your way up. I think I had it pretty high. Tens machine was amazing during labour. I used it up until transition and it really helped with the pain and kept me home for most of my labour. Can't recommend birth partner more highly, the lady was lovely to deal with and very helpful.
I got mine from tenspainrelief dot com dot au. I loved the machine, had no problems with the service. I think it ended up being around $80 incl. postage and that was for 5 weeks. I think they send it to you 2 or 3 weeks before your due date. I also stayed home for most of my labour and the TENS machine was a great help :)
I also used birthpartner, she hires out Elle TENS', which are great. It has two settings, with 15 (I think) levels per setting, and burst mode for either. I found I didn't want to put it up too high, I think the highest level I got up to was 6 maybe 7, and that was over 48 hours of prelabour and 4 hours of labour. Nicole, the owner of birthpartner, was really great and very helpful, when the TENS didn't arrive when it should have she sent a second out no questions asked to make sure I would have it on time. Including postage I think I paid $70 or so, not 100% sure as I bought a couple of other items from her at the same time as hiring the TENS.
