Gastro and supply?
I have been up since 4am vomiting and feel absolutely dreadful.
DD has been feeding and feeding as if there isn't much in there, so I am wondering if dehydration is contributing to low supply. What can I do to keep my supply up when I'm struggling to keep water down? I just checked when DD pulled off and could fairly easily express a little BM.
I feel horrid! :(
Should I take some fenugreek or something?

I had gastro a couple of months ago and could not keep anything down either. My Doctor said just to have small sips of hydralyte between throwing up. I was throwing most of it back up but he said some would be getting obsorbed straight away. He said try not to feed gastro and just let it pass. So I had nothing at all besides the hydralyte for 24hours.
DD2 BF a little more frequent during this time but we were both back to normal in a few days.
Gastro sucks and I hope you start feeling better real soon.

Wen I had gastro with dd2 the dr gave me some maxalon, it helps with the vomiting and boosts your supply. It's not fun :(

I too had gastro a couple of months ago and noticed a big drop in supply for a couple of days. Keep going with the hydralite and let DD feed as often as she wants, if u feel up to it. Big

Thanks guys. Feeling much better today and am not sure that it was gastro but more a reaction to something.
I took some fenugreek yesterday and my supply is better. DD seems more satisfied after her feeds :)
Thanks everyone.

She was possibly also a little more demanding/clingy because she sensed you were not well. Supply generally takes a few days to be affected, but keeping yourself hydrated and well rested will give you time to recover better. Glad you feel better today!
