Holding Cutlery
DS is pretty good at feeding himself with his spoon and fork, but he holds them right at the very end. This wouldn't be such an issue, except it means he uses his second hand to navigate it into his mouth, and food tends to go over his face and hand.
Does anyone have any tips on how to teach him to hold his cutlery further down? He gets really frustrated if you try and show him, or help him, or is it something they just learn with time?
Thanks :)

From what I can remember with DD, I think it was something she just learnt in time. DS is a similar age to your DS, and he still struggles - he has a habit of tipping the spoon before he gets it in his mouth, so more food ends up on the floor than in his mouth. He will quite often just give u and use his hands, regardless of what he's eating

Yeah, just let him go I say :) He will eventually get it.
