Ok so call me crazy but I am starting to organize ds4 christening which will be early next year. I have decided to go with a bumble bee theme and would love some ideas on decorating. Colours will obviously be black and yellow but don't want people to think we're having a hawthorn footy party!!

I think loads of white with softer yellow will help avoid it being too strong and footballish.
There are crafty people on etsy etc who make cupcake flags and the like. I think a white background with a sweet cartoon style bumblebee would be gorgeous :D

A BB member makes lovely themed biscuits (Becca's biscuits).
I'd get lemon cloth to decorate tables. Have a white cake with lemon and black bees on it. You could get little bees on sticks and put them around the house/garden etc. Little honey pots with bees on them. Honey and lemon cupcakes. Probably separate flavours. Lots of flowers about the place. Alyssum smells like honey and looks gorgeous.
Fyi - yellow & black is Richmond. Hawthorn is yellow & brown. Those things are important down here ;)
