At the moment I have a very frustrated almost 6 month old. He so badly wants to go places but he can't crawl yet so he get cranky very quickly.
What did you do before your LO could crawl to help ease his frustrations and also get some peace of mind for yourself?
I have him on his playmat where he can roll all over the place but it's just not good enough. He starts out all happy and then 5 minutes later he's got the cranks.

No help, but I have the same thing happening with Amelia! She can get in the right position, but she hasn't quite worked out how to move her arms. Her legs know what to do :lol:

Teni - How hard to be that age with so many ideas of places you would like to be and no way of getting there!
I think we might be a ways off crawling yet. DS doesn't sit up and play confidently yet. He's rolling over and holding himself up but I have read that the step before crawling is pulling themselves up into sitting position and he doesn't do that yet.
I guess I have to be more creative in the things that we can do. Problem is DS only has an attention span of 15 minutes and I don't think I have enough to occupy him at his age. :doh:
There is no cure! lol.
I just put lots of toys around she can reach or get her sister to play near her which they like.
Thankfully she has just worked out this crawling businees. But now she can follow me around and whinge!
I had similar behaviour just before DS could roll efficiently to get to where he wanted to go. I had 6 weeks where he would roll onto his tummy and cry continuously all day. All I could do to stop him crying what to sit on the floor for 6 weeks and flip him back onto his back. I even had to lay him between my legs whilst I ate my lunch.
I know it can be hard for us and for them. Hopefully your little poppet with take off soon.
