I'm after some info on the size of your babies at birth, specifically those that have had three or more. I've had two, DD was 3.83kg, followed by DS at 4.84kg. I'm wondering what the likelihood is of this next LO being bigger than DS?
I know that generally second babies tend to be bigger than first... what about third baby?
Am I in for a whopper here??
So hit me with your anecdotes! What were your three or more weights?
I think I was my mum's biggest (first of three), though I reckon my first brother would have been if he hadn't been premature. Brother 2 would be the smallest. Don't ask for exact details though, I've no clue :lol:

Wow, your DS was a whopper! My babies got smaller.
DS1 - 3.94kg
DD - 3.71kg
DS2 - 3.67kg
DD1, 3.65kg (41 and 4)
DD2, 3.55kg (4 weeks early)
DS, 3.72kgs (38 weeks)
My babies got smaller!
DD1 4.04kg
DD2 3.2kg
DD3 2.8kgs
I've asked doctors this and the consensus is that the second is bigger than the first, but after that it's random. Mine were:
First - 7'12
Second - 8'15
Third - 9'7
Fourth - 8 pound
Yay for babies getting smaller!
#1- 3.4kg @ 37w 4days
#2- 4.2kg @ 40w 3days
#3- 3.8kg @ 38w 4days
all three had the same size head, and that is the part that makes a difference, not the actual weight!
DS 7.4 lb

DD 5.9 lb
DD 6.7 lb

My Step-SIL has 4 boys and they have been progressively smaller!
Mine were
DS1 - 7.14lb 39w 5 days
DS2 - 8.14lb 40w 1 day
DS3 - 7.10lb 39w
DS 3.63kg @ 39 + 3
DD1 3.75kg @ 39 + 6
DD2 4.53kg @ 40 + 4
Mine got bigger
It's really something that is totally random. There is no way of knowing if a subsequent baby will be bigger than the others. I wouldn't worry about it - what will be will be and if you've gotten a baby out that big before, then you can do it again.

I know its random... I know there's no way of predicting... that's why I asked for anecdotes!:
I have complete confidence in my body to do its thing, TBH my labour with DS and his actual birth was much better than my labour with DD and her birth!

Anecdotally - looks like third babies get smaller ;)

If you just want anecdotes :) then my third was bigger. But my second was smaller. My midwife at the time said 2nd bubs are generally bigger if they are a boy, but can be smaller if they are a girl - which she was. Then my 3rd was bigger and my 4th was bigger again. They were 4.18, 3.85, 4.32 and 4.56

All born a few days shy of 40 weeks. First birth (my smallest baby) was very difficult, obstructed labour, failed ventouse, forceps delivery and an episiotomy. Second delivery was easier with a small tear, third bub pretty much fell out with a couple of pushes, minor tear.
