My wonderful cat just brought in a tiny baby bird, so young its eyes aren't even open yet. It's alive, and I don't know what to do with it - is it likely to survive without its Mumma, or should we find some humane way of ...........well, you know.

Goodmorning, I hope the little bird survived the night.
If it did then you could take it to your local vet or ring your local wildlife rescue number (they only take natives).
I have a humane suggestion otherwise but will PM it prefferably, but I hope you don't need it.
We ended up dropping him off at the Emergency Vet School, they'll hopefully fix him up and then release him when he's ready. Apparently he was a wattle bird :)
