Does losec only come in 100ml bottle?

DD2's losec dose has been increased to 2.5mls morning and afternoon since last month, so a bottle is only lasting 20 days.....so $45 every 20 days! The Dr gave me a few repeats this time, and I didn't think to ask if it comes in a bottle that would last the 30 days. The chemist says it only comes in a 100ml bottle, but I'm so hoping she's wrong. Not just the cost factor, its a PITA ordering and having to pick up from this particular chemist every 20 days!! Really trying to avoid going to the gp at the moment unless absolutely necessary as one of my DDs or i get sick every time we sit in that waiting room!!

Have you thought about just getting the losec in tablet form? The suspension didn't work as well for us, so we were given the tablets to dissolve in a tiny bit of water. Worked perfectly and lasted longer than the suspension too!

But if you're not happy with what the pharmacist told you, are you able to try another?

Hmmmm I hadn't thought of that! I might look into it though. Is it tricky getting the right amount, or is it just a whole tablet you dissolve in water? There are 2 chemists in my area that do the suspension, I should check the other one, all my repeats are at the one I currently use, guess it will be easy enough to just get them if need be :)

The tablet was so much easier than the suspension (which tastes DISGUSTING).

My DD was on half a tablet twice a day so we just cut the tablet in half and dissolved it in some water on a teaspoon and she took it from the teaspoon. Easy!!
