My 2year old keeps changing her mind about EVERYTHING!
I am hoping this is going to be a short lived 'terrible twos' things, but it's driving DH and I nuts!! DD changes her mind about everything. Eg,
ME - Do you want water or milk?
DD - Water
ME (cause now I have learned) - Are you sure you want water? I'm not getting you milk if you change your mind? So do you want water?
DD - Yes
- I get her water -
DD (in tears) - No I want milk!
She does this with goodbyes / goodnights too.
Me - Give your sister a kiss
DD - No I don't want to
Me - Ok. Bye I love you have a good day
DD (wingy voice) - I want to give Olivia a kiss
Me - No, it's time to go. I asked you if you wanted to give her a kiss and you said no.
So I have been sticking to my guns and giving her the first thing she asks for, nine times out of ten remembering to explain to her first that this is the decision she's making and that's what's going to happen (eg - if you don't give daddy a kiss now, he's going and you won't be able to give him one later)... but that doesn't seem to work. She is adiment (sp?) that she is happy with her decision until the choice is taken away from her.
Other that than, she is being a perfect two year old.
Anyone else experienced/ing this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
