I'm turning into my mother.
DH and the boys are away and I've turned my back on the kitchen and the tidying and picked up my tools
I've repaired a table (I think, test will be tomorrow when I turn it the right way up) and I've sanded back the top of another. Tomorrow I do the legs and drawers and then I'll stain it.
So far my family have never returned to find me bashing out walls with a sledge hammer but the day will probably come lol.
I referred to the 25yo "young guy" at work as "the youth of today"
I would much rather walk in the garden with my cats than with my kids. I am so becoming my mother.
I said to my three year old daughter 'don't stick your chin out like that when you are speaking to me'. As soon as I finished saying it I realised Mum used to say that to me.
I'm tutting at behaviour while shaking my head.
I called my daughter "young lady"!
I complain about my physical ailments like my mum, according to dh!! Help!! Hehe!

Hahaha, been there -- hated it the first time I did it - now I've just accepted that I am old and they are 'the youth of today'!:

We say exactly the same thing at exactly the same time. It's creepy. It is so bad that my youngest actually called me Grammie a couple of times.
I got home from work and started icing my hip and complaining about my aches and pains. Oh dear, my mother never stops complaining about her aches, she would be so proud :lol:
I know I'm turning into my mother when that little voice inside my head says "geeeeeez woman, you sound just like your mother!!" eeek!
I bought a label machine to label containers of food in the pantry and freezer. It helps with knowing the dates things were made and what particular type of stew is hidden deep in the freezer.
I have yet to buy an iron-on labeller to label the cleaning cloths by function (bathroom, kitchen, mirrors etc) but I can see how it would be practical.
I've started drinking apple cider vinegar in warm water in the morning (good for the skin & digestion. Helps with weight loss).
I am now, somehow, growing roses. Which I actually associate with my mum's mum as well as my mum. I have no idea what I'm doing, but they're surviving ok so far.

My mother has had 3 children, each 9 years apart. I swore black and blue I wouldn't be having a baby in my DD's 9th year....
Yep, guess what. DD is 9 years old and I'm due for bub in the next 4 weeks.
The next one (if we should be so lucky) is so totally going to be a A LOT sooner :lol:

Not a positive thing to say to my child but "If you don't stop crying I'll give you something to cry about" ........ I have caught myself a few times saying this when I am frustrated at her and very quickly smack the back of my head to knock some sense into myself.
Man I hated it when she'd say that, it was often accompanied by a tanned backside with a wooden spoon.
