Macaroons - first go, not good.
Not sure if there is already a thread, I think their should be a "sticky" thread. These are so good, I tried to make them this morning. Didnt turn out the best. I strongly suggest u leave them out for 20-30 mins before baking and 'tap' the tray underneath before baking at 150 deg celcius for 14 mins. Plus didnt have a proper piping bag, so cut a corner from a sandwich bag :(
On You tube there are a few good tutorials. I also did a boo-boo by adding the coloring to the sugar/almond meal (not the sugar/egg whites beaten bit).
They did taste similar though I guess.
I only had blue colouring so it did look abit unappetizing (esp or DH)!
I want to try the choc ones and strawberry next.
Has anyone perfected them, made to look like the Lindt cafe ones, yummo.
