Thinking Whooping cough dont know why

I've googled whooping cough and croup and am just confusing myself

My Lil man has developed a Cough. He will cough 3 to 5 times at a time and it sounds horrible He has also been having lil vomits, sneezing and has a runny nose im probably just fussing but i cant help but think whooping cough i dont know why (sometimes google can be BAD) Its his cough that has me thinking it but it doesnt have the whoop he seems fine otherwise

His 7months old Im taking him to the dr on monday i couldnt get in yest or today i would have gone to a different dr but a small town and the other drs wont take new patients

I hope its "just" a cough, the normal sort. If its worse tomorrow, ring around and explain the situation, if it is whooping cough he needs to be seen. I had whooping cough as an adult and its hard on your system, but it has a whooping sound to the cough once it gets going. Croup sounds like a seal barking almost. Hope your little man is okay. It can so worrying when the littles get sick. :hug:

You can call nurse on call and get them to listen to your son coughing through the phone - they will be able to hear if it is whooping cough. When your DS coughs, it will sound like a 'whoop' on the end if it is whooping cough, hence the name. I know we thought DD had whooping cough & called nurse on call and she said no, it sounded more like croup or asthma (it was asthma).....
